Healthcare Sector Incumbent Worker Training Assistance
The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments announces the availability of Incumbent Worker Training Assistance (IWT) under provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. The purpose of the IWT Program is to assist employers with training their current employees with skills to remain competitive. This IWT round of funding is available only to employers in the healthcare sector. Regional healthcare employers located in the counties of Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg in need of training for incumbent workers due to expansion and changing skill requirements caused by new technology, retooling, and organizational restructuring may be eligible for IWT assistance. Applications for IWT assistance must be submitted to Kim McCutchen at email@example.com 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023.
